PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil is an all-season lubricant specially formulated for four-stroke recreational motors, including ATVs, outboard motors, personal watercraft, motorcycles and snowmobiles. Its broad viscosity range and waxless formulation make it excellent for use in both hat and cold temperature extremes. As an SAE 40 weight motor oil, AMSOIL Formula 4-stoke provides superior protection for hot operating, hard working motors, while its SAE 0W rating ensures easy cranking, excellent cold weather starting and quick post-startup protection.

Resists Heat and Thermal Breakdown
Because it effectively resists oil vaporization, AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil Keeps oil consumption and emissions to a minimum. Its superior oxidation stability prevents carbon and varnish formation, keeping engines running cleanly and at peak efficiency. Formula 4-Stroke effectively maintains its viscosity in high temperature service, maintaining fuel economy.

Excellent For Transmissions
AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil is wet clutch compatible and contains no friction modifiers, making it ideal for ATV and motorcycle engines. The friction modifier free formulation of AMSOIL 4-Stroke prevents slip and ensures transmission (manual or automatic) and clutch compatibility. Formula 4-Stroke is shear stable, effectively preventing viscosity breakdown caused by mechanical activity (meshing gears in transmissions), while high levels of anti-wear additives provide superior anti-wear protection.

Superior Wear Protection
AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil is formulated with high levels of anti-wear additives that provide excellent protection for pistons, bearings and gears in transmission containing units, while its high SAE 40 viscosity provides an extra margin of protection for hard working motors.

Anti-Foam
The Churning that typically occurs in high RPM motors can cause oil to foam, depleting its lubricating abilities and increasing heat, wear and oil oxidation. AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil does not foam in service protecting equipment from metal-to-metal contact and wear.

Special Additives
While conventional oils contain minimal anti-rust additives, AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil provides superior rust prevention, which is especially important for outboard motors and personal watercraft. Small engines typically subject oil to high levels of blow-by contaminants. AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil contains a robust dispersant/detergent package that effectively neutralizes acids and combustion by-products, keeping engines clean and extending oil life.

Applications and Recommendations
AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil may be used in all applications specifying 0W-40, 5W-30, 10W-30 and 10W-40 viscosity grades and is recommended for applications specifying the following:

• API SG, CF
• JASO MA (transmission performance)

Use in Yamaha®, Suzuki®, Honda®, Mercury®, Kawasaki®, Arctic Cat®, Polaris®, Nissan® and Bombardier® motors and transmissions. Safe in wet or dry sumps. Recommended for manual or automatic clutches.

Compatibility
AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil is compatible with other four-stroke fluids. However, a mixture of AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil and another oil may offer a shorter service life than pure AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil.

AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil is compatible with and recommended for use with clutch plates in ATV’s and motorcycle transmissions.

Installation
Change AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Motor Oil according to manufacturer's recommendations, without oil filtration. With oil filtration (AMSOIL SDF Filter), up to 2 times longer than manufacturer's recommendations or 6 months, whichever comes first. If a Hastings or other filter is used, filter should be changed at manufacturer's recommendations.
