PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Diesel Oil (ACD) is formulated with premium synthetic base oils that exceed both 10W-30 multi-grade and SAE 30 straight-grade viscosity requirements for outstanding performance in modern and older diesel engines. Unlike conventional SAE 30 motor oils, AMSOIL ACD has a naturally high viscosity index and
does not contain paraffin (wax). It has a -36°F pour point and quali fies for SAE 10W, making it an “all season” multi-grade lubricant with a wide operating temperature range. AMSOIL ACD is formulated without viscosity index improvers (VI). This shear stable formulation stops viscosity loss and associated bearing and cylinder bore wear. AMSOIL ACD contains premium additives with a high 12 TBN to neutralize acids from blow-by, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and high sulfur diesel fuels. It protects against damaging piston deposits, ring sticking and sludge.

AMSOIL, the leader in automotive synthetic lubrication, produced the world’s first API qualified synthetic motor oil back in 1972. Trust the extensive experience of AMSOIL The First in Synthetics® to do the best job protecting your equipment.

APPLICATIONS
Where these viscosity grades are specified, AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Diesel Oil (ACD) provides outstanding performance as a straight-grade SAE 30 for older two- and four-stroke diesels and as a multi-grade SAE 10W-30 in modern four-stroke diesels as well as gasoline engines. AMSOIL ACD is ideal for use in a wide variety of light and heavy-duty applications, including agriculture, off-road construction, trucking, mining, industrial (pumps and generators) and personal automotive or commercial transportation. It is recommended for use with low or high sulfur diesel fuels in standard, turbocharged or supercharged engines, including modern low emission diesels such as those equipped with EGR systems.

PERFORMANCE
AMSOIL ACD is recommended for all diesel engines requiring any of the listed worldwide specifications. It also may be used in gasoline engines where the performance standards API SL or prior are specified.

  • API CI-4+/CH-4/CG-4/SL
  • API CF/CE/CD/CC
  • API CF-2/CD-II
  • Global DHD-1
  • ACEA A3, B3, E3, E5
  • JASO DH-1
  • Mack EO-N Premium Plus '03
  • Detroit Diesel Power Guard 93K214
  • Caterpillar ECF-1
  • Cummins CES 20076, 20077, 20078 (current), 20071/20072 (older)
  • Volvo VDS3, VDS2
  • Mercedes Benz 228.1, 228.3, 229.1
  • MAN 271, 3275

MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL ACD is compatible with conventional and synthetic motor oils, however, mixing AMSOIL ACD with other oils will shorten the oil life expectancy and reduce the associated performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where AMSOIL ACD has been mixed with another product. Aftermarket additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL ACD.

SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL ACD is formulated for extended drain intervals and typically provides much longer service life than conventional petroleum oils in diesel-fueled engines. Extended drain intervals vary depending on application and operating conditions. AMSOIL recommends ACD for the following drain intervals:

In unmodified pick-up and automotive diesel engines, extend drain intervals up to 25,000 miles or one year*, whichever comes first, or longer based on oil analysis. Change AMSOIL or Donaldson Endurance™ oil filter at 12,500 miles or six months, whichever comes first, or longer if stated by vehicle manufacturer (other brands at standard intervals).

* Where the engine or operating conditions have been modified from factory design, such as with the use of performance chips, extend drain intervals based on oil analysis.

In heavy-duty diesel engines, extend drain intervals based on oil analysis. Change Donaldson Endurance™ oil filter at twice the recommended interval for conventional cellulose media filters (other brands at standard intervals).

In gasoline engines, extend drain intervals based on oil analysis. Change AMSOIL oil filter at twice the recommended interval for conventional cellulose media filters (other brands at standard intervals).

AMSOIL by-pass oil filters are specialized for the removal of small, wear causing dirt particles, thereby extending engine life. AMSOIL encourages using an AMSOIL by-pass filter system for maximum engine and oil life.

Oil Analyzers Inc. (715-395-0222) is a division of AMSOIL that provides cost-effective, quality oil analysis services.
