Just
Some Good Ole Boys!
Superior, Wis. ~ Team AMSOIL continues
to fill the talent pool with this week's signing of
truck racing champion Autumn Woods Racing. Autumn
Woods is based out of Indiana and is the managing
company for the 01 General Lee truck driven Jeff Dedick.
Since 2000, Dedick has produced back-to-back U.S.H.R.A.
championships, the 2003 Fall National Championship
and a second place finish in the 2004 Special Events
4-Wheel Jamboree.
"As much as the General Lee is
an attention getter, so is Jeff," said AMSOIL
Racing Coordinator Jeremy Meyer. "He gives it
his best effort on the track and in the pits. That
truck turns a lot of heads, and Jeff Dedick is as
much the reason as the paint scheme."
The three-truck team will take part
in the U.S.H.R.A. and M.T.R.S. in 2005. The M.T.R.S.
will be aired on ABC prime time during the summer
months. For more on Autumn Woods Racing, log onto

AMSOIL
on the Rocks
Colorado Springs, Colo. ~ Team AMSOIL
is expected to get knocked around, flip over and even
land on its head in 2005. AMSOIL has joined forces
with Lovell Rock Racing for the 2005 UROC Pro National
Series. The rock climbing team consists of Brad and
Roger Lovell. Brad Lovell is the owner and driver
of the vehicle, while brother Roger is the team spotter.
In 2004, the team had a perfect season, winning an
unprecedented 4 out of 4 events in the competitive
UROC Extreme West Championships. They also finished
second at the World Championships in Salt Lake City,
Utah.
"AMSOIL is always looking for
new venues," said Meyer. "With the success
that the Lovell's have shown, we know they will be
a great representative for our company and will again
challenge to be one of the top teams in the rock climbing
world in 2005."
While rock climbing is not based on
speed, low gearing and large tires can put tremendous
stress on the vehicle. Due to odd angles, engines
are run for minutes with no oil pressure. Occasionally,
vehicles are run on their side or upside down while
trying to right themselves. Engine, transmission and
gearing lubrication are critical.
"We are proud to have the support
of a company with high quality products and a rich
racing heritage," said Brad Lovell.
Roger Lovell added, "This sport
is the perfect proving ground for engine and drive
train lubricants, and it's not worth taking chances
with anything but the best."
