GREEN FLAG

Starting Anew

There hasn't been a lot of racing over the past few weeks as teams take a break for the holiday season. But after the first of the year, many will be back on the tracks.

Supercross gets underway in Anaheim January 8, 2005. Team AMSOIL/Chaparral/Honda will be well represented by legends Mike LaRocco and Kevin Windham running in the 250cc field. The 125 team will have two new faces in Joaquim Rodrigues and Tommy Hahn. They will be joined by Josh Grant and Billy Laninovich.

Team AMSOIL will also be packing snow after the first of the year. D.J. Eckstrom and Carl Schubitzke will head to Shakopee, Minn. January 14th - 16th. After that, both riders will be heading to Aspen, CO for the Winter X Games.

A newcomer to Team AMSOIL will debut in the USSA Pro Star Oval Ice Racing Series. P.J. Wanderscheid of Sauk Centre, Minn. will begin his championship defense in Plymouth, Wisc. January 8 and 9. He will then try to regain his title at the prestigious Eagle River World Championships the following weekend.

And don't forget about all of the regional action with the WSA, RMR and CSRA snowmobile circuits. AMSOIL is proud to be the "Official Oil" of all three series.

Chase, or be Chased?

Wilmington, Vt. ~ It was a good weekend for AMSOIL sponsored racer Evan Loschiavo December 18-19, 2004. Loschiavo, who is sponsored by AMSOIL Dealer Eric Page won the Sport Open event at the Haystack at Mount Snow. He drove his Polaris to wins in both heats and the final for the checkered flag. Loschiavo also took third in the Sport Stock 500 and 600 classes. His brother Nathan took home a 5th place finish in the Semi-Pro 600 event.

Picture Of The Week

Up-see-daisy! If you're going to crash, crash in style. This unlucky rider felt like doing a little gymnastics routine for the crowd during a recent race. The Checkered Flag does not believe this was his celebratory dismount in the winner's circle.

Holiday Reminder

As we head into a new year, AMSOIL would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Holidays. We would also like to remind all of our teams and Dealers to continue sending their testimonials, results and pictures. We thank you all for your dedication and success over the past year and look forward to a triumphant 2005.
